Solenoid valve is an industrial equipment controlled by electromagnetic control. It is an automatic basic component used to control the fluid. It belongs to the actuator and is not limited to hydraulic and pneumatic. Adjust the direction, flow, speed and other parameters of the medium in an industrial control system. The solenoid valve can cooperate with different circuits to achieve the expected control, and the control precision and flexibility can be guaranteed. There are many kinds of solenoid valves. Different solenoid valves play a role in different positions in the control system. The most common ones are one-way valve, safety valve, directional control valve, speed regulating valve and so on.

Working principle

The installation note

1. Pay attention to the direction of the arrow on the valve body when installed. Do not put in places where there is direct water or splash. Solenoid valve shall be installed vertically upwards;

2. The solenoid valve shall ensure normal work within the range of 15% to 10% of the rated voltage.

3. After the solenoid valve is installed, there shall be no reverse pressure difference in the pipe. It needs to be electrified several times, so that it can be formally put into use.

4. Thoroughly clean the pipe before installation of solenoid valve. The incoming medium shall be free of impurity. Valve front loading strainer;

5. When the solenoid valve fails or is cleaned, the bypass device should be installed to ensure the system continues to operate.

The difference between the electric valve and the solenoid valve

Solenoid valve is the electromagnetic coil that generates magnetic attraction to overcome the pressure of the spring to drive the valve core action, and the electromagnetic coil is simple and cheap, and can only be used for the switch.

The electric valve is driven by the motor, the valve core action, the electric valve is divided (shutoff valve) and the regulating valve. Shutoff valves are two types of work, full and full, and the valve is equipped with an electric valve positioner on it. The valve is dynamically stabilized in one position through closed loop adjustment.

Comparison of use of electric valve and solenoid valve

Solenoid valve: switch control for liquid and gas pipelines is controlled by two DO. Generally used for small pipe control.

Electric valve: the analog quantity regulation for the flow of liquid, gas and wind system pipes is AI control. In the control of large valve and wind system, two switches can be controlled with electric valve.

Solenoid valve: can only be used as the switch quantity, is DO control, can only be used in small pipe control, usually in DN50 and the following pipeline.

Electric valve: can have AI feedback signal, can be controlled by DO or AO, compare with big pipe and wind valve etc.

1. Switch form:

Solenoid valve is driven by coil and can only be opened or closed.

The drive of electric valve is generally used for motor, opening or closing of the motor to complete the required time simulation amount, can be adjusted.

2. Nature of work:

The general circulation coefficient of solenoid valve is very small, and the working pressure is very small. For example, the average 25-caliber solenoid valve is much smaller than the 15-caliber electric ball valve. Solenoid valve is driven by electromagnetic coil, which can be easily damaged by voltage impact. The function of the switch is to open and close two functions.

The drive of the electric valve is usually motor, and it is more resistant to voltage impact. Solenoid valve is fast and fast close, generally used in small flow and small pressure, request switch frequency large local electric valve vice versa. The opening of electric valve valve can be controlled, the state is open, close, half open, can control the flow of the pipeline intermediary quality and the solenoid valve cannot meet this requirement.

The solenoid valve can be reinstalled normally, and the power valve will need to be reset.

3. Application process:

Solenoid valves are suitable for some special process requirements, such as leakage and fluid media, etc., which are more expensive.

Electric valves are generally used for adjusting and switching volume, such as the end of fan coil.
