The fuel pump is a technical term for the auto parts industry. Fuel injection system is one of the basic components of efi vehicles, the vehicle fuel tank, fuel pump in the start and work when engine is running, if the engine stops and the ignition switch is still ON, HFM - SFI turning off the power of the fuel pump control module, in order to avoid accidental ignition. Working principle

When the rotor rotating, roller pressure outward by centrifugal force, like a rotary oil seal, the rotor rotation, the pump work, from the fuel oil inlet suction, and the fuel oil from the oil outlet pressure into the fuel oil system, when close the oil pump, oil outlet check valve closed, to prevent fuel through back to the fuel tank, fuel pump flow check valve to maintain the fuel pipe pressure is called the "residual pressure".

The maximum pump oil pressure of the fuel pump depends on the standard of the pressure limiter. If the fuel pump pressure exceeds the predetermined pressure limit, the pressure limiter will open the bypass to bring the fuel back to the inlet of the fuel pump.

Electric fuel oil pump consists of three parts: pump body, dc motor and shell. It is the basic working principle of dc motor drives the pump housing after the power supply for high speed rotating rotor, the cut surface of the rotor shaft bottom combined with inner hole section of the impeller, made when the rotor rotation direction together by rotor shaft to drive the impeller rotation, the process of high-speed rotating impeller at the inlet section caused by vacuum low pressure, which will be after filtering processing of fuel oil from the oil inlet of the pump cover suction, suction pressure fuel by the fuel pump impeller after entering the pump shell of internal pressure, through oil outlet again for fuel system with certain pressure fuel. The structure of the dc motor includes the permanent magnet fixed on the inner wall of the pump shell and the magnetic moment of the rotor and the graphite carbon brush assembly installed at the top of the pump shell. On the carbon brush and armature rotor commutator is in elastic contact condition, its lead plug connection electrodes attached to the shell, electric fuel pump pump shell at both ends of the external use edge rivet, become a non-removable assembly

Daily maintenance

(1) inside the electric fuel pump parts (such as roller type fuel pump piston and cylinder) of very precise, so the key to prolonging the service life of the fuel pump is to keep the height of the fuel oil cleaning, regular cleaning everywhere and in accordance with the requirements of the use of maintenance screen (note that cannot be used with fiber cloth cleaning), in order to prevent the fuel pump is impurity binding or early wear. 

(2) for an internal electric fuel pump, it is prohibited to force the engine to be activated when the oil tank is not in oil. Take out the fuel pump from the fuel tank to do the experiment, and the time of each charge cannot exceed the 6s, because the time of the ungas-free cooling is too long, which can lead to the burning of the motor winding of the fuel pump. 

(3) because the electric fuel oil pump is integral package, it belongs to the non-repair parts, and the same type of fuel pump should be replaced once the damage is done. If the type of fuel pump replacement is different, it may be that the pump pressure cannot meet the original requirements and lead to the abnormal performance.
